Seeded paper is exactly what it says it is.  It is paper with seeds embedded inside it.  The seeds could range from vegetables, wildflowers, regular flowers or even trees.  The paper itself is made from 100% recycled matter and is made including the seeds.

 

 

Well possibly before you have even had chance to read what is on the paper, it will have begun to sprout roots or green shoots.  So if it has, we apologise.  But, this is not a bad thing, you are already on your way to being a horticulturist in your own home.  Take the tag from your clothing and plant it in a pot.  Cover it with soil, preferably compost from the local garden centre, keep it watered and in the sun, and see what your tag will grow.

 

 

Usually a tag is something that accompanies your purchases in a wide variety of consumer categories and generally they end up in the rubbish bin.  Now if you were being good they would end up in the recycling, however, regardless that is pretty boring.  So we thought let’s make it a little different and have a tag that actually has more of a purpose.  There is very little effort involved in planting the tag, and if you do not have a pot or any compost, use a cup, bowl, glass and go fetch some soil from the outside or just plant the tag in the garden. The plant that grows will reduce your carbon footprint, improve the local scenery and hopefully bring you some joy and motivation. So basically, the real question is ‘why not?’
